A friend of mine had a Super Mario Bros upright that needed a cap kit installed. I picked up a few Sanyo 20EZ Cap Kits from Bob Roberts a few weeks ago, and finally got some time to install one of them. Most of the old Nintendo cabinets used the Sanyo 20EZ monitor. They are one of the tougher cap kits in my opinion because there are so many caps, and the writing on the PCB of the monitor is congested. When installing a cap kit, a Cap Map is a really handy document. A Cap Map is basically a layout of the board showing where each cap goes. There was not one available for this monitor, so I made one up. You can download it at the link below.
Here is a quick picture of the board with the new caps installed:

Jeff. I have 27 years experience as as game tech. I NEVER use cap kits. The qaulity is poor. The price is to high and they don,t give you all the caps. I take a legal pad and make columns for C.pos., uf and vlts values of each. I then make another set of columns and for qan. of each value, uf and vlts. I then go thru and check off each value down the list starting at the top and enter them on the second column. Exmple 4ea. 100uf@16vlts. on line one. I then look up that value in my DigiKey cataloge(easier than @ there online page), trust me. I always use 105o caps and there unit or 10ea/100ea bulk price is way, way cheaper than any other source I,v found. The qaulity is the same. Good luck on your next project.
@Ronnie: Thanks for the feedback! I get all my cap kits from Bob Roberts, who has done an excellent job piecing these together for his customers. Bob does a great job assembly quality kits. I don’t do enough cap kits to justify buying them in bulk, but if I did I would probably do what you do. It’s good advice to anyone looking to do several cap kits.

Best place to sell is Craigslist. I just sold my pro built custom restored 60N1 on there. I sold another last month with AN LCD monitor. Forget Ebay, C.L. is free!
Gabe: Also check out http://forums.klov.com There are several collectors there that may want to buy it.
