Still have a nagging board issue. I was given a couple spare ribbon cables, so I swapped them around with some of the ones on the board that looked like they could have issues. Didn’t help bring the board any closer to working.
Basically my problem is that the board boots up fine, but has no sound and locks when the level selection menu attempts to move the selection sprite. Also, this sprite does NOT appear on the screen. This is also a problem in the test screens, where the sprite does not appear. However, any test other than the sound test seems to work.
Putting the board in diagnostic mode gives the following error on boot, but the amber LED on the board that indicates RAM or ROM errors glows solid (which is good)…

Hey Jeff would you happen to have pictures under the control panel? I have a tron and i need help with the asembly of the control panel frame, and the lower panel with the light fixture, i cant figure out how it all fits together. Ive looked all over thw web for pics to use as a guide with no luck. If you could help me out id appreciate it.
I will be taking some soon. I was hoping to get the game working, then strip the entire cabinet to restore it. I’ll take a ton of detailed pictures.
